The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to click here access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The support level produced for intervention experiences a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
